Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how the Agency Hackers app ("the app") handles your information. The app is the event companion for Agency Hackers conferences and events, operated by Agency Hackers Ltd ("we", "us").

What we collect

• Email address — if you choose to sign in, we use your email to verify that you are a registered attendee of the event. We send a one-time verification code to that address. Verification codes are stored only as one-way hashes and expire after 10 minutes.
• Attendee profile — your name, job title, and company as provided when you registered for the event. This information is shown to other attendees of the same event in the People tab.
• Stars ("People to meet") — if you star another attendee, we store that choice so we can show you your list and highlight mutual connections. Starring someone does not notify them.
• Questions — if you submit a question during a session, we store the question text and, if you are signed in or provide one, the name you attach to it. Approved questions may be displayed publicly on the venue screen.
• Push notification token — if you allow notifications, we store an anonymous device token so we can send you event announcements. The token is not linked to your identity.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.
• We do not use advertising or third-party tracking in the app.
• We do not collect your location.

How your data is used

Your information is used solely to operate event features: verifying attendance, showing the attendee list to fellow attendees of the same event, running live Q&A, and sending event announcements. Attendee registration data is managed in our customer database (HubSpot) as part of your event booking.

Data retention

Sign-in sessions expire automatically after 90 days. Verification codes expire after 10 minutes. Stars, questions, and push tokens are retained for the operation of the event and periodically cleaned up afterwards.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Signing out of the app removes your session from your device. To exercise any data rights, contact us using the details below.
